You will be required to have separate pre-ceremony interviews with the registrar 20 minutes and 15 minutes prior to the ceremony taking place. This will be to check the schedule details are correct and briefly run through the ceremony.

The script at a statutory ceremony is as follows.

Welcome and Introduction by the registrar which then includes the following:

"First of all, I have to tell you that this place in which we are now met has been duly sanctioned according to law for the celebration of marriage.

However, if any person present knows of any lawful impediment to this marriage, they should declare it now."

Couple asked to confirm full names.

Declaratory words

A) "I do solemnly declare that I know not of any lawful impediment why I, (insert name), may not be joined in matrimony to (insert name)."
