The Department for Trasport (DfT) funded Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund will assist in delivering charge points across the county making it easier for residents who do not have access to off street parking to charge their electric vehicles and support the transition towards electric driving.

EZO will:

• deliver around 70 50+kW EV charger sockets that will give a rapid charge for those drivers that need to charge quickly

Connected Kerb will:

• deliver around 1750 7kW EV charger sockets that will be used in locations where a longer dwell time is possible

Each operator will aim to offer a 24/7 helpline for assistance, take convenient card payments and will be maintaining the chargers to ensure optimum convenience.

Both EZO and Connected Kerb are experienced Charge Point Operators and offer, modern, easy to use and efficient chargers.

Location of EV chargers

Chargers delivered under LEVI projects will primarily be in areas which support residents that do not have the ability to install their own charge point at home. This would generally cater for residents that have to park on the street as opposed to a private driveway or garage. They will be delivered:

• within the public highway, e.g. residential streets, estates and high streets 
• where there is evidence of demand and home charging isn't possible (i.e. no/limited off-street parking availability)
• in urban and rural locations across the county

Precise locations will be dictated by assessment of many factors including our resident online engagement undertaken in 2025, a study on the current and future likely demand, less commercially attractive locations, physical aspects (security, space, parking restrictions, other infrastructure and accessibility) and the operators’ expertise.

Prior to installation, residents in the immediate vicinity will be informed to ensure a smooth installation process.
