Visit 91制片厂is inviting expressions of interest for two new voluntary positions on its Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) advisory board, helping to strengthen and grow Worcestershire鈥檚 拢1bn visitor economy.

The advisory board brings together tourism leaders from across the county, representing accommodation providers, attractions, cultural venues, hospitality businesses and wider visitor services.

Members play a key role in guiding the strategic direction of the sector at an important time for both tourism and local government.

Visit 91制片厂is now recruiting for an accommodation and stay experiences representative, with experience in areas such as self-catering, glamping, lodges, holiday parks or alternative accommodation.

Alongside this, it is also recruiting a visitor economy and growth representative, who can offer a cross-sector perspective across areas including destination development, regeneration, culture, accessibility or business support.

Applicants should be passionate ambassadors for Worcestershire, with a strong understanding of the visitor economy and a commitment to supporting sustainable business growth across the county.

Mark Bevan, Chair of the Visit 91制片厂LVEP Advisory Board, said: 鈥91制片厂has an incredible offer 鈥 from our landscapes and heritage to our food, culture and experiences and the visitor economy plays a vital role in the county鈥檚 prosperity. As the sector continues to evolve, it鈥檚 more important than ever that we have a strong, engaged and forward-thinking board. We鈥檙e looking for people who understand the realities facing the visitor economy and want to play a meaningful role in shaping its future. This is an opportunity to influence strategy, support businesses, and help ensure the sector continues to deliver economic and social value for the county.鈥

Board members volunteer on an individual basis and are expected to attend quarterly in-person meetings, contribute sector insight, and help shape priorities within the county鈥檚 destination management plan.

Current areas of focus include increasing overnight stays, attracting international visitors, improving accessibility, advancing regenerative tourism and supporting local businesses during challenging economic conditions.

Appointments are for a two-year term and the deadline for applications is Friday 8 May.
