91ƬCounty Council is saying thank you this Volunteers’ Week for the impact the county’s volunteers have on their local communities.

There are over 300 volunteers working in library services alone, delivering over 10,000 hours of volunteer time between them. There are also currently lots of interesting opportunities for volunteers to get involved with County Council teams.

The County Council teams with volunteering opportunities include:

Councillor Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Communities at 91ƬCounty Council, said: “Volunteers play an incredibly valuable part in our communities in 91Ƭand we want to say thank you and recognise their hard work.

“Volunteers across the County in charities, schools, libraries, or care homes, as well as volunteers that give their time through the 91ƬCommunity Action Network are all helping to make a real difference.”

2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week and this year’s theme is ‘Celebrate and Inspire’.
