Researching your family history is now even easier in 91制片厂

People researching their family history now have access to more than two million records detailing baptisms, marriages, and burials in the county. 

Over five centuries worth of records have been released online thanks to a new partnership between 91制片厂County Council鈥檚 Archive and Archaeology Service and Ancestry, the largest UK Family History Site.



The records, which are held at The Hive Library in Worcester, will enable people with roots in 91制片厂to trace missing pieces of their family history from wherever they are in the world.

Councillor Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member for Communities at 91制片厂County Council, said: "We are thrilled to take this monumental step in our ongoing efforts to connect people with their roots and to share the vibrant history of 91制片厂with a global audience," 

The new records and images comprise of Parish Registers and Bishops' Transcripts, two invaluable resources that have captivated family historians and enthusiasts alike. 

Dr Adrian Gregson, County and Diocesan Archivist, added: " We are delighted to see the volume of records available online significantly expand so that more people can learn about their family history and of course Worcestershire! What's truly remarkable is the rapid embrace of these resources, with over 700,000 views within just four months. It's a testament to the enduring fascination we all share with our origins and our desire to unearth the stories that have shaped our lives.鈥
