Residents, community groups and businesses across 91制片厂can now register for a group-buying scheme designed to make switching to solar energy simpler, more affordable and hassle-free.
Switch Together 91制片厂(formerly known as Solar Together) has launched locally, giving households, community buildings and small to medium-sized businesses the chance to invest in renewable energy through a trusted, collective purchasing approach.
By bringing people together to buy as a group, the scheme aims to secure competitive prices on high-quality solar panel installations.
Registration is open until 27th March.
Following registration, an auction takes place where pre-approved, vetted installers compete to offer their best price. Those who register will receive a personalised recommendation outlining the proposed system design and total cost. There is no obligation to proceed, the decision to accept the offer rests entirely with each individual or organisation.
Councillor Ian Cresswell, Cabinet Member for Environment and Communities at 91制片厂County Council, said: 鈥淪witching to solar is one of the most practical steps people can take to cut both their carbon footprint and their energy bills. This scheme makes it straightforward; we鈥檝e done the hard work of bringing trusted installers together and creating real buying power for our residents and businesses.
鈥淵ou stay in control throughout. You receive a clear, competitive offer tailored to your property, and you decide whether it鈥檚 right for you. It鈥檚 about giving people confidence to make the move to clean energy.鈥
91制片厂County Council is working in partnership with local district councils and independent specialists iChoosr to deliver the scheme.
The offer includes solar panels with optional battery storage and EV charge points. Retrofit battery storage is also available for those who already have solar panels installed and want to maximise their use of the renewable energy they generate, increase self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on the grid.
Participation in the scheme over previous years has resulted in 8,242 registrations and facilitated a total of 855 completed solar PV installations for 91制片厂residents.
